So, yeah… I’ve enjoyed my four-day weekend.
Prague truly is a wonderful city! Apart from the still very vivid history, and the modern thinking of those in charge, the people there just seem at peace with the Universe! Plus, most everyone(!) speaks English. And if they don’t, they speak German, or Russian. The food’s great, the beer’s sublime, bla-bla, have some pics.
Budapest is not only big, it’s grand! I’m still in awe after wondering its streets and islands. Also, all that talk I’ve heard about the Hungarians not speaking English is bull. All the people I talked to spoke either English, or Deutsch. After seeing the metropolis, I’m even more excited that I’ll be visiting it again in November, to see Porcupine Tree. Again, have some pics.
Aside from these marvelous two cities, I’ve also had a lot of fun seeing The Offspring play right in front of me and being at Sziget in general. Obviously, I met up with Ovi, Richie, Rob, Alex — thanks for sharing your tent, by the way — Adina, Emi, Paul + 1, Horatiu, Mirona and others.
I also discovered the California Coffee Company, which kicks the shit out of Starbucks, while meeting with Jason.
Naturally, on the trip back, I met with a good old friend, Carmen, who kept me great company. Plus, while on that train, I helped dr. Fetish fill up his memory card.
The butt-pain from sitting in a car and train for hours, the hangovers, the money lost and the muscle burnt were all well worth it!
